Fortunately, the house has been preserved in almost its original condition, allowing a glimpse into what would have been an elegant lifestyle of an earlier period. The spacious size and flowing design of the house provide the ideal adaptation to a bed and breakfast. The four guest rooms are located on the second floor at the four corners of the house, ensuring quiet and private accommodations. The guest rooms are furnished with a blend of antiques, reproductions, and personal treasures to provide comfort as well as wistful memories of the past. The furnishings and accessories are coordinated to convey a different theme for each room. All guest rooms are air conditioned and have private baths. Breakfast at Mehard Manor is a special event using silver, crystal stemware, and fine china representing elegance reflective of the house. The meal features fresh fruit,cooked entrees such as stratas, souffles, and quiche, French toast, blintzes or crepes, sticky buns, and coffee cakes all freshly made and served. Guests are invited to share the Sitting Room and Solarium for television, reading, or socializing. Mehard Manor is a non-smoking facility.
